On December 4, 2024, Rabat will host the grand opening of the representative office of the Center for International Cooperation "Russian-Moroccan Alliance" (RMA) in Rabat and the Information Center of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) together with the consortium "Russian-African Network University" (RAFU). The event will be attended by distinguished guests, including representatives of the Ministries of Science and Education, Culture and Tourism of Morocco, as well as diplomats from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Information Center, supported by the RMA, will develop pre-university training programs in cooperation with SPbPU. The RMA actively promotes the strengthening and expansion of bilateral ties between Russia and Morocco in various fields.
The cooperation of the RMA, SPbPU and RAFU in Morocco provides Moroccan youth with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the Russian language and culture of Russia. The SPbPU — RAFU Information Center will help Moroccan and other African applicants to improve their language training, get acquainted with Russian universities participating in RAFU and make a more informed choice of their future specialty. Among the expected guests of the event are high—ranking representatives of the Russian Embassy in Morocco, deputies and senators of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Morocco, representatives of the Ministries of Higher Education and Science, Culture and Tourism of Morocco, as well as representatives of the RMA — President Zouhir Said, Vice President Alexey Lomtev, Vice Rector for International Affairs of SPbPU Dmitry Arsenyev, representatives of universities participating in the RAFU consortium, as well as diplomats from several African countries.
The center will become an attractive place for African students and will serve as a launching pad for obtaining high-quality Russian education.
