The Russian-Moroccan Alliance was established to promote cooperation between Russia and Morocco in the field of science, especially in such an important area as ecology.

In recent years, the problem of air pollution on the African continent has become one of the most acute, second only in importance to AIDS. Air pollution not only threatens human health, but also leads to significant economic losses, including health care costs and reduced labor productivity.

The main sources of atmospheric air pollution are mining and processing facilities, industrial enterprises, energy and transport. Mortality from these factors is increasing every year, which requires urgent measures.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified reducing air pollution as one of its main strategic priorities for the period 2023-2027. Morocco is also aware of the seriousness of this problem and is actively working to solve it.

Morocco is developing waste management schemes and plans to build modern plants for their processing, disposal and storage. By 2030, the volume of waste recycling in the country should reach 20%. It is expected that the amount of waste will increase by more than 1.5 times from 5,936,393 tons in 2015 to 9,419,033 tons in 2030.

The Russian-Moroccan Alliance fruitfully cooperates with the Russian company Institute of Design, Ecology and Hygiene of St. Petersburg (IPEiG), which has established itself as a leader in the development of documentation for the construction of waste recycling plants in the territory of the Russian Federation. The company has an impressive experience in implementing innovative technologies in this area, which makes it an ideal partner for ambitious projects.

As part of the strategic partnership between Russia and Morocco, the Alliance plans to actively promote the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of environmental management and environmental protection. This initiative is aimed at strengthening cooperation in environmental issues, which, in turn, will contribute to improving the quality of life of the population and preserving natural resources, as it is a powerful tool in the fight against one of the most serious environmental problems of our time.
